Since I spend most of my days to in some sort of stretchy pant, not the kind acceptable to wear out in public, I thought I would take a quick journey down memory lane. Let's have a quick moment of silence for all the ridiculously fun clothes I used to wear [I miss you leopard pencil skirt], the kind of fun clothes I hope to wear again… someday… If you have the energy to dress up or wash your hair, I've also included some pieces the chic Lauren buried deep down inside is currently lusting after for you to shop!!!! Stop and smell the Valentino

So I've never thought of myself as a perfume person. I've only really loved 2 scents... ever. I know. I'm a sham! What kind of girlie girl doesn't love perfume?? I suppose I'm picky and I don't like anything too overpowering, but I tend to gravitate towards really warm smelling scents like amber, vanilla, etc. Smells that can easily be too much. Well, thanks to my love, Eden, over at Valentino I have a new fave! Valentino's Valentina Assoluto is straight up sexy! There's some fresh jasmine, a lil' vanilla, a touch of tuberose, and a hint of something woodsy that really brings it home for me. I really do feel like I walk with a little more swagger when I wear it and bonus, the bottle is un-freaking-believable! It makes my dresser look so fancy! You fancy, huh!? Yep, I sure as heck am. And come on, who doesn't want an inside person at Valentino!? The Captain is a saint, like a real life in the flesh saint. When a friend from the diiirrrrty south called me to let me she was now working in the Atlanta Valentino store and that things were on sale I swear I heard angels sing. I was on a budget. Yes. I'm always on a budget, but since The Captain's return I was trying to spend all our cash on doing things together, not designer shoes. Well needless to say, she sent me a pic of these RockStud sling backs and I was done. Hot Pink? Gold Studs? I mean, perfection. I reasoned that they are one of my most perfect shoe matches and that at 60% off I needed them to survive. What? I did. I wore them around my house with sweatpants the day they came in the mail. They make me so happy paired with my good ole standby No. 2 pencil skirt from J Crew. This is my kind of dressing up. And let's take a minute to chat about my most favorite agate bracelet ever. I bought it at a bazaar in Egypt and love that thing more than diamonds. Seriously, diamonds. It's a rare occasion that I wear heels or dress up at all, but with these shoes and that skirt it's totally worth it. Oh and I know what you are thinking... Get outta the damn road!!!
