So here's the thing. Layers, they're great... they look awesome... but ain't no-one got time for that. When it comes down to it, I'm wearing easy clothes, outfits that require little thought. Clothes that I can throw off when I need to nurse or get a hormone hot flash. Yes, those happen. This jean and bootie combo has been a favorite of mine lately, see last weeks ootd post. I wear my trusty Felicity Nursing Tanks from Target under every damn thing. The tanks aren't online right now, but I've still seen them in the stores. They are 25.99 and rock my world. Buy. TONS. This is the outfit I've pretty much been living in when leaving the house, my sweater probably needs a wash, but I just keep spraying it with Tubby Todd Mama Spray in the hopes that no one will be able to tell it's been days since I last bathed... Cheers to that!!!

Happy Taco Tuesday/Valentines Day!! Talk to me about your mama uniform in the colder months!? I wanna know!

So this was meant to be posted yesterday, but the little Mister decided to have lotsa gas or a growth spurt or who the heck knows… So I sit here on my birthday tippity-typing away. I'm so tired and feeling crazy, well, old. So this post is kinda perfect for my mood. I feel like in my early 20's I would've never even thought to rock leather pants, but as a woman of advanced age I think they are the absolute perfect throw on and go piece. Easy Peasy. These faux leather materials are so comfortable and can easily go from chasing around a toddler to date night! They are no different than the plain jane leggings you already rock, they are just more of a statement! And what a killer statement indeed! The key is keeping your look super simple. Don't overwhelm yourself with accessories and trying to look like a bad ass. Wear them exactly how you would skinny jeans or leggings. They pair amazingly well with tunics, long billowy tees, comfy sweaters, etc. I think the key ingredient to making these leggings work is confidence. Seriously. I know it can be hard, especially after having a baby, so much is going on in your head and your body… trust me I get it, but sometimes you have to fake it until you make it! Even on the days where you can barely throw your hair up into a messy ponytail, see above^^ photos as proof, you can still feel good and cool and confident in your clothes! Did this post make any sense!? It's unclear... Time for a birthday nap.

If you are in the market for some faux-leather leggings I honestly think that these Plush are the best way to go, but here are a few others for your viewing pleasure.

Even your layers, have layers…

Boho Mod Layers : ModCloth
So I was thrilled when ModCloth asked me to put together a layered look using their super cute clothes! I'd been on their site before, but it had been a hot minute. I WANT ERRYTHING. So much fabulousness and great prices too. I'm sold. Anywhozzle. I am, of course, drawn to anything that The Olsen's would wear aka Hobo Chic, so this Bona Fide Boho Cardigan was where it all started. Obsessed. I like the idea of wearing a chic, modern blouse underneath a graphic tee and shut your face, weekends ARE for waffles. I think this is hip and playful, it would pair so well with some leathery leggings… I mean, you could do skinny jeans, but come on, stretchy pants for the win. I like the juxtaposition of this relaxed look with a super structured bag in a rad color. Throw on some booties and a few hip rings and you are officially too cool for school… are people still saying that!? Meh. If you really wanna bring the hobo chic on strong add a super fun beanie or a rad scarf in a bold color. I'm in love, I'm also wishing I didn't live in Southern California. Please ignore my crazy talk. Definitely stop by the site, I'm also digging this sweater and this sweater and thissss sweater. You get it. You can check out their entire selection of fab cardigans here!!! You know you want to!!

Happy Monday Folks!!
